Teknobag-Draimad
BAG DEWATERING SYSTEM
Modular Dewatering Solutions for Every Type of Sludge
TEKNOFANGHI introduces the TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD®, a modular and highly efficient system for dewatering sludge from treatment plants of all types. At the core of this system is the innovative draining bag TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD®, which achieves:
- 15-30% dry solids (D.S.) content after just a few hours.
- 50-80% dry solids (D.S.) after a longer storage period.
Key Features
- Optimized Design: The system includes a specialized stainless steel AISI 304L module, engineered to streamline bag filling and simplify movement operations.
- Versatile Options: Available in various configurations to meet the needs of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), ranging from manual modules with 2 bags to automatic and pressurized systems with up to 12 bags.
- High Capacity: The largest module can treat up to 20 m³/day of sludge, depending on its concentration.
The TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® system delivers reliable, adaptable, and efficient sludge dewatering, making it a trusted solution for municipal and industrial applications.

- Ø water consumption
- Negligible power consumption
- Negligible maintenance cost
The TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® system delivers efficient dewatering results. After just a few hours of operation, with proper sludge conditioning using polyelectrolytes, dry solids (D.S.) contents of 15-30% can be achieved, depending on the sludge type.
The volume of dewatered sludge produced varies based on the solid content of the incoming sludge. For example:
- With sludge containing 1% dry solids, the system can process up to 20 m³/day.
This high-performance dewatering capability makes the TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® ideal for a wide range of sludge treatment applications.
After the initial dewatering stage on the TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® system, the bags are sealed, removed using a special bag trolley, and stored in the open. During this secondary phase, the weight and volume of the sludge continue to reduce, regardless of weather conditions.
The water-repellent material of the bags prevents rainwater from entering while allowing dehydration through evaporation. Key results include:
- 50% dry solids content achievable after two months of storage.
- 70-95% dry solids content possible with additional storage time.
For example, 1 m³ of sludge with 1% solids content can produce a cake with at least 50% dry solids after two months, weighing only 20 kg—a 50-fold reduction in the original weight.
This innovative drying process makes the TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® an effective and sustainable solution for reducing sludge volume and weight.
At the core of the TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® system are the innovative draining bags, crafted from a special TNT water-repellent material. These bags are highly durable and resistant to:
- Chemicals
- Acids
- Bacteria
- Insects
This unique material ensures exceptional performance and longevity, making the draining bags a reliable component for efficient sludge dewatering and drying.
The TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® system offers unparalleled flexibility with approximately 30 different models available, ranging from small manual units to fully automatic and pressurized units.
Key benefits include:
- Scalability: If additional sludge capacity is required, an extra bag module can be easily added and connected using the existing flange, minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
- Adaptability: The system is designed to accommodate diverse operational needs, making it suitable for both small-scale and large-scale sludge treatment applications.
This modular approach ensures that the TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® can grow with the demands of your wastewater treatment plant (WWTP).
The TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® system offers an optional pressurization facility designed to enhance efficiency and performance.
Key advantages include:
- Reduced Dewatering Time: Pressurization accelerates the dewatering process, saving valuable operational time.
- Increased Sludge Capacity: Higher dry solids concentrations are achieved inside the bags, allowing for a greater volume of sludge to be treated.
- Cost Efficiency: By optimizing the process, pressurization reduces both working time and bag consumption, lowering overall operational costs.
This optional feature makes the TEKNOBAG-DRAIMAD® system an even more versatile and efficient solution for sludge dewatering.
